Restrained, mineral style focussed on elegance with a white fruit character, some oatmeal and some complexity gained from percipient wood application.
This is an aromatic Sauvignon with undertones of asparagus, gooseberries and lemon zest. It is refreshingly crisp with lovely acidity.
Attractive deep red colour. Slate, wild berries, herbs, nuts & subtle liquorice and barrel maturation character adding to the beguiling nose. Substantial palate with a rich texture and layered, complex flavours and an attractive dry finish.
This is a powerful wine with delicate and refined black and white pepper spice, along with hints of chocolate and blackberry flavours.
Rich, luscious and a bit decadent. Honeysuckle, peaches and apricot with a lingering citrus finish. A clean fresh acidity supports the extravagance of the nose and the palate.
Pale straw in colour, this wine has a nose of ripe, green citrus fruit and Christmas spices. The palate is fresh and richly textured, with notes of ripe pears, almonds and peaches, and a clove-like finish. Best served at about 12 ˚C, this wine will show optimally when decanted in the first 3 years after bottling.
High altitude cabernet vineyards that have a longer ripening period give rise to this phenomenal wine. Loads of blackcurrants with cedar wood undertones on the nose with a hint of smokiness and tobacco leaf, creating a complex wine. Good integration of oak with a velvety finish on the palate. A prime example of a well-crafted South African Cabernet Sauvignon.
A Bordeaux Blend using the classic varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. These vines were planted on carefully selected sites and took 9 years to reach maturity. The grapes were fermented whole with native yeasts and left for 5 weeks on their skins. The wine was then barrel aged for two years followed by four years of bottle maturation. This wine, rich, classic and complex, truly is a work of time. It will age well for up to 10 years.
