A convergence of flavours from five separate vineyards, this is classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc at its finest. An abundance of white peach and chalky aromas lead to a palate which is dry and refreshing with great concentration, beautiful fruit purity and moutherwatering acidity.
Made out of the best Chardonnay grapes sourced in the Margareth River Region this wine challenges your skill of separating old from new world wine. It shows a citrus and yeasty nose, mineral and elegant. Resembles some of the finest Chardonnays produced in France.
On the nose, there is a medium intensity with ripe citrus notes file type and tangerine. Predominant note florarl (hawthorn, jasmine and orange blossom) and a herbal background type hay.
Fresh and good balance on the palate with an aftertaste that reminds you of the note of ripe citrus.
The wine shows off aromas and flavors of vineyard peaches and impresses by its raciness and finesse. It is succulent and displays high drinkability, and is most distinctly characterized by the minerality of the primitive rock soil, which suggests a long future for this.
A deft wine that is at once forwardly-scented, broad and lithe: despite its weight, it nonetheless retains all the classic defining minerality of Niagara’s prized limestone soils
Coche shows a very intense and deep mineral side. Very complex aroma, with excellent notes of toast, perfectly integrated in the citrus and slightly floral profile. On the palate is elegant, with good acidity, and the highlight of white and citrus fruit notes. Great volume, but without being fat, with a good concentration and the barrel in complete harmony with the wine. Very delicate, fine, and slightly salty finish. A serious white to be enjoyed in Burgundy type of glass.
Light straw in colour, this is a complex Sauvignon Blanc with restraint on the nose. Aromas of lemon curd, pineapple, gooseberry and fennel lead to a palate that is long and powerful. Tension filled with a chalky nature, tropical and stone fruits are interwoven throughout the palate. This finishes dry with long driving fruit-laden acidity.
A complex and thoughtful Sauvignon Blanc, wild fermentation, oak aging and extended lees contact adds breadth and texture, backed by juicy citrus, wet stone and chalky flavours and crystalline acidity.
This wine is classic Sancerre with great acidity that has superb balance to it. There is a lovely clean finish with a nose of pear drops and grassy aromas backed up by rich minerals.
This customer favourite of ours is crystal clear with green highlights and though it can be more golden from older vines, it is still soft, with a delicate nose and pleasant hints of acacia and hawthorn blossom.
Delicate and fresh in the mouth it has an excellent acid/structure balance.
A refreshingly dry Pinot Gris with great concentration. Attractive aromas of fresh apricot mingle with fresh fig. The palate is full of rich flavours of quince that lead to a salty minerality on the finish.
Light green-yellow in the glass, yellow apples in the nose. The palate reveals elegance and flavour of fresh spices and a convincingly long finish with superb fruit flavours.
Ripe wild berries, blackberry and red currant. Lively and animating character. Taste of minerality and Riesling grapeyness with an intense juicy texture that is very refreshing.
This Sauvignon Blanc has a lively nose, full of lychee, gooseberry and a touch of peapod. The palate shows great purity, with excellent fruit concentration leading to a mouth-watering finish.
Crisp clear, bright stonefruit. Marvellously clean scent. On the palate very light-footed, again white peach fruit, very straight and convincingly. Good density and vigour due to the vibrant acidity. The body is, according to the vintage, a little lighter, but the more elegant and enticing. In the finish surprisingly persistent. Good ageing potential.
The nose has a remarkably complex nose of honey, smoke and gravel. There are genuine ‘sauvage’ characters in there as well as both green fruit and tropical fruit characters: pineapple, guava and gooseberry are all present. The nose carries to the palate which is full, rich and complex. The palate shows both primary and secondary characters. It has a lovely creamy texture and good length.
This wine is made up of a blend of grape varieties called Antao Vaz, Arinto and Albarino that gives you a well-rounded white that is light and refreshing with a taste of freshly squeezed grapefruit and lemon.
This Sauvignon Blanc is elegant and slightly austere on opening. After a few minutes, it unveils aromas of limes, grapefruit, and spicy notes such as blackcurrant leaves, as well as subtle hints of green chilli pepper, fennel and gunpowder.
Fresh, concentrated and well-balanced, the mouth is delicately mineral and saline with a soft texture. Long in the finish.
Pale straw in colour, this wine has a nose of ripe, green citrus fruit and Christmas spices. The palate is fresh and richly textured, with notes of ripe pears, almonds and peaches, and a clove-like finish. Best served at about 12 ˚C, this wine will show optimally when decanted in the first 3 years after bottling.
Delicate play of fruits reminiscent of red currants and white nougat, many details, immediately prefiguring finesse and depth, full-bodied and sprightly, above all shows fine details in spite of its power, very fine nuances, highly elegant and polished, purist premium Veltliner with great length, high storage potential.
Quinta da Romeira is behind this cuvee fermented in 228 and 500-liter casks and aged over nine months. Made entirely of Arinto grapes, it is reminiscent of Burgundy Chardonnay: elegantly woody with lovely ampleness and balance. The nose features white fruits, grilled almonds and wood with some mineral notes.
Stone fruit and citrus notes dominate the nose, and continue onto the palate. The palate shows restraint and subtlety, with flavours of lemon zest and grapefruit, with a biscuity note. There is also intensity and weight to the palate, held in check by a seam of crisp acid that keeps it fresh and tight.
The palate is elevated and accomplished, with body and bouquet melting together superbly. Smooth and dry, firm yet gentle, deep and structured, this is a wine of undeniable character and grace.
Since the late eighteenth century, the family of the Counts Lafond has the largest and most renowned vineyards of Pouilly Fumé. Patrick Baron de Ladoucette, great grand son of Lafond Counts, continued this tradition of high quality and produced this great white wine Ladoucette, global benchmark Sauvignon. This Golden colour wine has floral, exotic and citrus fruit aromas with a fruity roudnesss that gives a nice lemony finish.
Available in just few independent shops in the country, this wine shows an intriguing texture and also a flinty profile. Pungent green and a bit toasty on the nose, seasoned with cooking herbs, citrus fruits and a long finish. This Sauvignon Blanc represents the very Loire Valley style.
